The most scenic way in is by train: change at Attnang-Puchheim for the regional Salzkammergut line to Hallstatt station, on the opposite shore. A ferry timed to the trains crosses the lake in about 15 minutes and docks near the market square, from where you walk along the water to Seestraße. From Salzburg by bus, take line 150 to Bad Ischl, then line 541 to Gosaumühle and line 543 to Hallstatt Lahn. Salzburg Airport is 81 km away, about an hour by car. The historic centre is closed to traffic during the day and the B&B has no parking, so drivers use the P1 or P2 car parks at the village entrance; P1 has a shuttle for overnight guests, so contact the property before you arrive.
